I am back in Shanghai and thought you might like another guest review for your site.
Here goes:
After a 22 hour journey I finally arrived in Shanghai, China. Later having sworn that I had not had contact with a pig within the last 7 days and having my temperature taken I was allowed to disembark the aircraft and make my way to my hotel. In no time I was hungry and ready to give room service another try. As you recall I stayed at this same hotel (Swissotel Grand Shanghai) a couple of months ago and reviewed the Swiss Grand Burger.
This time I thought I would play it safe and try the Chicken Breast (200 grams) with Garden Vegetables, Fried Rice and Mushroom Sauce. After 25 minutes a nice Chinawoman was at my door with my order. As you can see from the photo’s, the presentation was very nice. The chicken tasted great and they know how to make rice pretty good too. I played it safe and did not eat the vegetables. But just like the Swiss Burger it did not take long before I was regretting my choice to order in. The good thing is as a professional traveler I carry a mini pharmacy in my bag. Unlike Japan, the rooms here do not have those butt washing toilets which would come in handy.
I will have to give this a thumbs down. I should have gone with the pork…..
