It's taken quite some time, but Charming Cafe has lived up to its name...this is quite a charming dining experience.
Previously, in this location was Ginger Cafe. This place served great sushi. For whatever reason, they closed down after about a year. (They still have their original location at 7548 FM1960 in Humble...give them a visit). Charming Cafe took over and from the looks of things, nothing much changed. Same decor. Same menu. 
Same sushi. But looks can be deceiving. Boy, oh boy had things changed.

After the transition to Charming Cafe, the sushi was not even close to being satisfactory. And the other Chinese dishes on the menu, including the tempura took a hit also. And the restaurant had a funky stank to it. Not fish. Something more akin to sewage or backwash. Not very appealing in an eating establishment.
However, it is with great delight that I announce that Charming Cafe has finally gotten their act together. The specialty sushi rolls we sampled were perfect.We also tried the hand rolls & tamago. Everything was great.
I am so extremely happy that there is a GOOD sushi restaurant in Crosby again. Charming Cafe is not just Crosby good...their sushi is delicious enough to stand up against any other restaurant in the area. See for yourself...
